We’re bringing live comedy to the Rehearsal Shed for two special nights at the Barn.

Enjoy an evening of live stand-up featuring headliner Brad Wenzel and featuring Blaine Hill, with a special appearance by Barn favorite Charlie King. Hosted by Chris Karpinski, these nights promise a relaxed, high-energy atmosphere filled with big laughs and great company.

Whether you’re a longtime Barn fan or just looking for a fun night out, this is the perfect way to experience something new at The Barn Theatre.

Bio

Brad Wenzel’s offbeat one-liners, dry delivery, and unassuming presence are what set him apart. He has made three stand-up appearances on CONAN and has been featured on Netflix Is a Joke Radio and Don’t Tell Comedy.

His debut album Sweet Nothings was released on Third Man Records and can be heard on SiriusXM. Paste Magazine named his 2023 special joke. joke. joke. one of the best comedy specials of the year, calling it “relaxing and utterly enjoyable.”

Since the age of 17, Brad has toured nationally, honing his unique non-sequitur style and original comedic voice. Simply put—he’s really funny.

Blaine Hill

With over a decade in the Detroit comedy scene, Blaine Hill delivers sharp, clever performances every time. His style blends self-deprecating humor, a wry perspective, and quick wit that keeps audiences engaged from start to finish.

Blaine is a regular performer at Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle, Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase, and Detroit House of Comedy, and has appeared at clubs and festivals across the country.

Charlie King

Bio

Charlie is a multi-instrumentalist and has performed internationally with the Asylum Street Spankers (2007-2011) and Barnie Stephen Lynch. He also plays with the Deep Fried Pickle Project Jugband when he can. Charlie’s film roles include Chuck in A Haunting in Cawdor, LaCroix in Raunch and Roll and Jeremiah Godslight in Dormant Evil and most recently as the demon “Mammon” in Luke Ragotzy’s The Haunting of Pine Lake.

Some of his favorite roles here include J.D. in JIMMY BUFFETT’S ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE, Mr. Green in CLUE, Woodson in THE GIFT, Uriah Jennings in WHISTLE PIG’S REVENGE as well as The Big Bopper in BUDDY: THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY, Clem Rogers in Will Rogers FOLLIES, Brad/Dr Scott in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, Nick Valenti in BULLETS OVER BROADWAY, Eugene Krabs in SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS THE BROADWAY MUSICAL, Dirty Dave Rudabaugh in BILLY THE KID, Kenny in both SLIPPERY SLOPE and IN HOT WATER and Max VonDiesel in DOUBLE O69.
