We’re so thrilled to announce that Miguel Ragel Wilson achieved his Equity membership this season with our production of DISASTER!
As a First Year Apprentice, we’ve been honored to have Miguel with us this summer. He graduated with a degree in acting/voice at Western Michigan University. Apart from the theatre, Miguel is also a two-time state finalist at the Michigan State Solo and Ensemble Youth Arts Festival as a classic baritone. Miguel was featured in many shows this summer, most notably BULLETS OVER BROADWAY, in which he did an outstanding job tackling the lead role.
“Miguel is a huge talent! Having been in 3 of our Christmas Cabarets we were thrilled he joined us this summer as well!” ~ Brendan Ragotzy, Producer.
As an Equity theatre, the Barn employs accomplished professional actors who belong to the union, brings back guest stars for performances, and allows for Apprentice Actors to learn the trade and the craft of theatre production.
Apprentices are inherently tied to the Barn’s productions, participating in backstage duties and performing in main stage shows. You’ll also find them leading Backstage Xperience groups, helping park cars, and breaking down and moving sets for each show. Our Apprentice Actors become Equity Membership Candidates and accrue weeks toward an Equity card.
Miguel’s membership became official after this summer’s production of DISASTER!, and we hope you got to see him shine in that show. We’re so proud of Miguel and all our Apprentices at the Barn!
