Barnie Feature: Meet Becky Ann Baker

|

The Barn Theatre is home to several famous actors and we take our family-oriented atmosphere very seriously here in Augusta! From singers to stagehands, producers to choreographers, the Barn is a special place that serves as a stepping stone to the bigger world of professional theatre. We’re excited to highlight Becky Ann Baker as a Famous Barnie!

Born in 1953 in Kentucky, Becky Ann Baker earned her Equity Membership Card at the Barn in 1975. In her many years as a Barnie, Becky has been involved in several productions, including: GODSPELL, HAIR, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, NOT NOW DARLING, THE RITZ, GUYS AND DOLLS, THE BED BEFORE YESTERDAY, EQUUS, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN, PAJAMA TOPS, THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS, ANNIE, THE MUSIC MAN, CAMELOT, A CHORUS LINE, and PURE AS THE DRIVEN SNOW.

With an obviously extensive stint here at the Barn Theatre, Becky went on to move to New York with a few other Barnie women, where she built an incredibly successful career. She’s starred in Men In Black, NBC’s Freaks and Geeks, Nights in Rodanthe, CBS’s The Good Wife, and HBO’s GIRLS, just to name a few. With over 80 credits, Becky Ann Baker has certainly made a name for herself, and we’re proud to have played a role in her achievements.

Be a part of our Barnies’ history, and come see the stars of tomorrow today as we finish out our 72nd summer season. For tickets to see DISASTER!, head here.
