Here at the Barn Theatre, we’re dedicated to providing a top-of-the-line experience to locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re down the street or just stopping through, there’s nothing like a Barn production to add to your summer to-do list! Here are the top 9 reasons to visit the Barn this summer.
1 – We’re nearby. Located in Augusta, MI, we’re a hop, skip, and a jump away from a great time! Just 20 minutes from both Kalamazoo and Battle Creek. There’s no better way to spend a summer evening than with our amazing Barnies.
2 – See tomorrow’s stars today. Part of being a Professional Equity Theatre means we employ the best of the best. Several of our Barnies have gone on to star in television shows, on Broadway, and in films, and many have received their Equity Membership through the Barn! We’re so happy to give you the experience to see where they get their start!
3 – Rehearsal Shed Cabaret Show. Our cabaret show after the mainstage show is an intimate experience that adds a little something extra to your night. Friends, drinks, and music; there’s a reason people love The Shed! Now with online reservations, “the show after the show” is always a good time!
4 – It’s our 72nd season! There truly is nothing like it. A place so rich with history and tradition, you’ll feel a special pull to the theatre and all of the memories it holds and will make some memories of your own. It just keeps getting better and this season’s lineup is sure to tickle your funny bone!
5 – Family-friendly shows. With a diverse group of productions, there really is something for everyone at the Barn. Even for the little ones! This season, be sure to check out Beauty and the Beast, July 31st-August 12th.
6 – Comfort. Now at the Barn, more leg room! We have worked tirelessly to provide you and your families with more comfort at the Barn by expanding the center section of seats. Come check it out for yourself! And yes, we have air conditioning! We may perform in a barn, but we’re not animals.
7 – Backstage Xperience. Get the kids involved in theatre and all the work that goes on behind the scenes with BSX. It’s a free experience that gives kids an understanding of what goes into a production and introduces them to the amazing world of live theatre.
8 – Your attendance supports our future. 72 seasons hasn’t happened without the support of our amazing community and those beyond it.
