2017 Producer’s Letter

|

Hello Friends!

We are absolutely thrilled to bring you our 71st season, full of entertainment and a little something for everyone, with an incredible lineup of shows. We celebrate, with pride, the rich tradition of the theater begun by my folks in 1946, and we joyously continue to bring you the highest caliber entertainment from one of the finest Equity theatres in the nation, your very own Barn Theatre!

With a great group of new performers this summer, as well as our ever-amazing returning group, we invite you to meet the Barnies on stage, as well as in person in the Shed after the show. We look forward to spending quality time with all of you. As you may know, Barnies are represented in all walks of entertainment, including winners of Academy Awards, Tonys, Emmys, and Grammys, and we couldn’t be more proud to provide an experience that the whole family will enjoy while seeing the stars of tomorrow today!

Along with the stellar lineup of shows this season, we continue to strongly believe in our major outreach program, the Backstage Xperience. This program introduces local students to the transformative power of live theatre, giving them an opportunity to learn and interact with our staff. Who knows, you may see them on stage soon, too!

In addition, you may notice some updates and new twists in and around the Barn this season, including renovated seating spaces, dinners on select nights, and other surprises we look forward to sharing with you! To keep these restorations coming, and to ensure that we provide the best possible experience for you and your loved ones, we ask you to consider supporting the legacy of the Barn Theatre through a donation. And, we thank you for your support as a patron!

We are all so happy you’re here to make memories with us, and we hope you enjoy yourselves as much as we will.

See you inside!

  1. I’m excited! I just recently moved to Michigan from California, and I plan to attend every show.
